Frequently Asked Questions
These answers provide a quick overview of how The Ambleve Bedrock Foundation approaches grants, funding priorities, and prospective requests.
Tax Status Definition
The Ambleve Bedrock Foundation is a Private Foundation exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) as a non-profit organization.
Do You Accept Donations?
The Foundation is funded via private donors and does not currently accept donations. However, we do encourage interested parties and organizations to independently provide aid where they can. We are happy to make referrals when possible.
How Do I Apply for a Grant from the Foundation?
Look at our funding priorities, and if you believe that your need is a match, go to our New Grant Recipients page, or send us an email at the address on our contact page. We will take a look and get back to you. Please be sure to provide enough information for us to see why your project or need is worth funding.
What Are Your Funding Priorities?
Our current funding programs can be found here.
How much time will Grant Seekers spend working on a funding proposal?
That varies depending upon the situation. However, we have made an effort to streamline the process and use our Grant Information Guide to collect the information needed for an initial evaluation. The complete submission should be no more than three pages. If additional documentation is required for us to come to a funding conclusion, we will let you know.
My Funding Request does not fall under any of your programs, but I have a great idea. Can I still apply?
We do not make grants outside our funding priorities. In general, we directly invite proposals by working with established conservation, fly fishing and outdoor recreation organizations. We do also award grants through Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or letters of inquiry.
